The CPP/NPA movement is getting weaker and they are making desperate acts even to kill PNP personnel and soldiers who were dedicated in their call of duty.
Last August 21, eight policemen on board their service vehicle going to Barangay Imelda Catarman Northern Samar to respond to a shooting alarm were ambushed by the New Peoples Army using landmines.
The victims wanted to protect the civilians in the said community and promote peace after they received a report that a certain civilian was executed in Hinatad ,Brgy Imelda CAtarman Northern Samar by a group of NPA, unknowing that they will be brutally killed.
The NPA Eastern Command through a press release owned the killing of the police saying that the latter were to conduct an operation in the above mentioned barangay.
This incident, however, was not the first. Just last Saturday, August 28, the NPAs abducted a CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) commander in Sitio Polongpoyan, Barangay Bug-ang, Toboso, province of Negros Occidental .

The series of bloody incidents perpetrated by the CPP/NPA these past weeks were obviously the ploy by the rebels to project themselves that they are not yet a spent force. But the truth, the CPP/NPA is in desperate situation where support from the masses is waning. All they want is to sow terror and fear among the people.
First on August 21, they murdere
d eight policemen on board their service vehicle going to Barangay Imelda, Catarman, Northern Samar using landmines, while on their way to investigate a murder case. Not contented, they executed the wounded survivors by firing point blank in the head, and burned them together with the police patrol car. They were robbers for they divest the hapless victim of their valuables, money, and cell phones. They even murdered a village councilor and used him as bait.
Again, just last Saturday, August 28, the NPAs abducted a CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) commander in Sitio Polongpoyan, Barangay Bug-ang, Toboso, province of Negros Occidental.
Staff Sergeant Efraim Bagonoc was held hostage and was later executed in front of their detachment not after his men ensued a brief gun battle to prevent the NPAs from entering their camp that resulted to the wounding of two members of Civilian Auxiliary Force.
